Tunnel Creek to Spooner via Tahoe Rim Trail
Overview
This is a difficult one way trail in Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit.
This trail goes by Marlette Peak Campground, Marlette Lake Vista Point, Herlan Peak aka Christopher's Loop, and Twin Lakes.
Getting Started
The trail offers great views of Lake Tahoe, Marlette Lake (from Snow Valley Peak), Sand Harbor (from Christopher's Loop). If going from Spooner, follow the Tahoe Rim Trail signs a single track trail meandering along until Tunnel Creek.

Reminder: Bikes are PROHIBITED in Mount Rose Wilderness, on Christopher's Loop (Herlan Peak) & from Hobart Road to Spooner Summit. There is an even-day only bike advisory between Tahoe Meadows and Tunnel Creek Road.
