Appalachian Trail and Iris Trail Loop
Overview
This is a difficult loop trail that starts in Dryden Kuser Natural Area and heads south into High Point State Park.
Getting Started
Start at the Appalachian Trail parking area and take the blue trail to the Appalachian Trail (white marker) Follow the Appalachian Trail south on the west side of the ridge with views of the Delaware River Valley and return north on the Iris Trail which travels along the east side of the ridge with views of the valley below. Turn right onto the Blue Trail back to the parking lot.
Taking Children
There's nothing really difficult about this hike from a hiker's point of view except for the distance so use your own judgement if you think your child can walk 6.3 miles. There is no way to shorten the hike if you are already heading north. If you are heading south your best option is to turn around and retrace your steps.
