Overview
This is a difficult out and back trail to Green Lakes in Deschutes National Forest and goes by Fall Creek Falls. This is one of the most popular and crowded hikes in the Three Sisters region, and on a fine summer day, the parking lot is full by 10 AM. Although there are no spectacular mountain views, the Green Lakes offer great vistas and numerous camping spots, although these tend to fill quickly by early weekend. Water is available along the entire hike. For a more secluded and longer (15 miles total) route to the Green Lakes, the Soda Creek Trail, from the same parking lot, is equally beautiful, and side trips are abundant.
