Overview
This is a nice family hike. The middle section on the Marshall Mesa trail is foot traffic only- no bikes. So it is very peaceful and usually quiet. On the western edge, the Coal Seam trail is narrow and rocky, but very fun. Be aware of traffic on this trail- it can be tight!
Getting Started
Parking for the route is at the Marshall Mesa trailhead off CO 170 (Eldorado Springs road). This parking area can be VERY busy- expect it to be full on weekends.
Taking Children
Good hike for the kids! You will see other families out there with you.
