Trailhead is clearly marked, this is the south trailhead. I did the loop counterclockwise. Sleepy to Elk Ridge to Meadow View. Good hike with the dog, plenty of shade, unlike the other Elk Meadow hike. Gaia distance on this hike was 2.7 miles with an elevation gain of 340 feet. Had it nearly to myself June 28 on a Monday at 8am. Lot was full when I was leaving at 10am and was starting to encounter some people around then. Keep dogs leashed due to occasional bikes and reported bear in the area. I felt very comfortable doing this hike solo. Nice views but no water so bring it in.
