Overview
This is a moderate difficulty 10.2 mile loop trail in Morgan Monroe State Forest in Indiana. There are several steep grades you go up, but overall not a difficult trail. The creeks are normally dry on the surface most of the year, except in late spring after lots of rain. The majority of the hike you will have plenty of shade to keep you cool. Park in lot by the Cherry Lake Shelter, it is just past Cherry Lake. About 4 miles in you'll reach Bryant Creek Lake which is a great place to stop for a rest and enjoy the scenery.

Definitely the best part was the Low Gap Nature Preserve with decent elevation for Indiana. Morgan Monroe has many crushed gravel or sand trails to allow for family hiking experiences, so it has taken away some of the challenge of wooded trails. But overall beautifully maintained and definitely worth the rugged category for our state.
