This hike offers fine views of South Shore and Lake Tahoe. On the day I hiked it the Fall color was everywhere. There were 3 small streams still running, even late in the season. This appears to be a popular trail; my hike was off-season and mid-week, yet I must have encountered 40 people on my way down. It is also used by mountain bikers.
