Awesome hike, we did it Oct 11th, snow lightly with sunshine, made for slippery conditions... would recommend walking poles and boots with really good soles or some kind of YakTrax.. Temp was below freezing at the upper levels... well worth the effort, it is a popular place with upgraded parking and pit toilets.
