Backpacking Mirror Lake, Hike to Tom, Dick and Harry
Who: Jess, Justin, Marco, Chris, Megan
Weather: 75-83 during the days and 55 at night (seemed much cooler due to humidity; was cold sleeping at night without warm hat)
2miles to Mirror lake wasn’t bad with the SUPs. Found a great campsite with a view of the lake and Tom, Dick and Harry Mtn. Crowded during the day with a lot of dayhikers, but was nice in the evening. Would backpack to the ridge campsite again for views of stars over Mt. Hood. Bugs weren’t too bad. Chris caught a few small trout (4”). Justin and I went in early (11am) with a tent to pick a campsite then backpacked back in with Chris and Megan.
Food: subway lunch, Indian pouches and garlic naan dinner, fried egg and toast for breakfast, crackers and canned tuna/smoked salmon for lunch. Portland for dinner 1.0 and 2.0 (Hot Yai and Bollywood Theater)
