Pigeon spring to lone pine trailhead
A group of us did this hike on 4/17/20. I would recommend parking at the Lone Pine Trailhead and then walking to the Pigeon Springs trailhead. The Pigeon Spring trail is beautiful with creek crossings and plenty of great scenic views. When you get to the Four Peaks trail, you will find yourself having to do about a 400 foot climb that is also brushy. The older participants of our group did struggle through this part. Once at the top the trail levels out somewhat. This part of the trail is more forest and somewhat shady. You will then exit the trail at the parking lot. I plan to return and do this hike again. I also recommend getting here from Hwy 188 and taking El Oso road to the trailhead.
