Went to do Multnomah Falls, but construction at the falls had us start at the other trailhead - Wahkeena Falls. Construction there also, but you could get around it. The trail itself is asphalt for the first two miles, with river rock walls to help with mud slides. A few areas where the water has worn away the trail anyway... watch your footing. We visited 8 falls on this hike. It has 10 but the trail was closed closer to Multnomah so we had to turn around. Wonderful forestry, lots to see other than the falls, definitely not a boring hike. Trail was frozen in lots of places, especially around the falls, so the microspikes came in handy. Didn't see any wildlife, but saw tracks on the trail. A good run down until you hit the paved area again.
