<b>South Coast - </b>The southwest portion of the state along the Mexican border and coast line.<br /><br />
<i>North Coast - </i>Available in the Northern California Master Map File.<br />
<i>Northern Sierra - </i>Available in the Northern California Master Map File.<br />
<i>High Sierra - </i>Available in the Northern California Master Map File.<br />

<b>Description: </b>About 50 trails in the central area of the state with lots of mining history. Some mountains and a range of difficulty levels from novice to advanced.
<p><b>Location: </b>The coastal region South of Big Sur and Fresno and West of Highway 14 (the Desert Area).<br /><br />
<b>Things to see: </b><i>Mines, historic trails, mountain passes and views, desert wildlife and flora, creeks and fishing as well as birding and camping.</i></p>
