This is a fairly easy hike with some boulder scrambling at the start then slowly ascending sandy trails. There are of articles on the web about the pictographs and morteros from the Indian village but for me the big pay off is found at the end of the canyon. As you get closer to the end of the canyon you’ll begin to notice two completely different rock types that make up the canyon wall. As you get closer the wall slowly opens up and it’s mystery is revealed. Continue walking to the edge of the 70 foot dry falls and incredible panoramic view of Vallecito valley below. Be careful as you approach the edge as the winds may surprise you.
