The trail along the eastern side of Gold Creek was wide and relatively flat. There were quite a few creek crossings so waterproof/sturdy boots are recommended. None of the creek crossings were so significant that they could not be tackled. We hit snow line so the trail became slushy, but still navigable. Before taking the bridge across Gold Creek, walk farther north Along the trail to viewpoint beach for gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains. One you cross Gold Creek the trail becomes less wide and more rugged, climbing over steeper sections and boulders. At this point in our hike, water flow was along the trail, so waterproof boots are a must along this section. Approximately 3km from the end of the loop, take a detour to the Lower Falls viewpoint. The path is steeper in this area, but the short trek down to the creek is worth it.
