This is not a wilderness hike like one finds in the Cascade Mountains of Washington. In fact, it is mostly on actively-used dirt roads and within ear-shot of hunting. Just the same, it's a very pleasant climb to the top of a cinder cone with a consistent grade and great views along the way. Recommended! (Note: Contrary to Gaia's rating, there is nothing "difficult" about this hike. Due to its length and elevation gain, it is a solid "moderate" trail.)
